Mara M. Hartmann, APR, has been named Vice President of Marketing and Communications for Downtown Jackson Partners, a business improvement district for Mississippi’s capital city.
Hartmann retired from Entergy Corp. earlier this year, where she spent nearly 18 years working in incident response, nuclear communications and as spokesperson for Entergy Mississippi. In October, she was inducted into the Southern Public Relations Federation Hall of Fame in recognition of her distinguished accomplishments, commitment and leadership in the field of communications.

During the span of her career, Hartmann has gained a reputation as an expert in crisis communications and media relations. She is a former news anchor/reporter and host for several Mississippi television stations. Hartmann is a graduate of Southern Miss and is accredited in public relations.
