Originally built as the Armour Smokehouse in 1906, this legendary Jackson landmark is a true icon of Mississippi’s rich heritage. “The smell of charcoal greets you as the music carries you inside.” The establishment was renovated in 2013 as The Iron Horse Grill, who now offers some of the best Tex-Mex cuisine in the State. The restaurant offers a great spot to catch up with friends over a drink or bite to eat, and features live entertainment three nights a week. Find them on Facebook and Twitter for upcoming shows and events!

Located on the second floor is the Mississippi Music Experience, a museum designed to tell the story of Mississippi, the birthplace of America’s music. Visitors can travel a timeline hall starting in the 1800s and progress to the current music scene, learning about the history, music, and art of our great state.
