The Mississippi Museum of Art is the largest art museum in the State of Mississippi and has been a community-supported institution for more than 100 years. The Museum boasts an impressive permanent collection of more than 5,000 works of art, in addition to hosting world-class traveling exhibitions. The Mississippi Story, a free ongoing exhibition comprised of more than 200 objects from the Museum’s permanent collection, offers Mississippians and visitors alike the opportunity to explore the remarkable history of visual arts in the Magnolia State. The Mississippi Museum of Art also includes the Art Garden, as well as The Museum Store which offers Mississippians a unique shopping experience, ‘engaging them in the visual arts’.

The Mississippi Museum of Art, and Art Garden, offer a wide range of indoor or outdoor options to meet the needs of any event – luncheon, meeting, cocktail party, birthday party, wedding, and more. This versatile and artistic venue offers the most culturally chic atmosphere in Jackson, and is continuously filled with exhibitions of regional, national and international significance. Suitable for parties of six or 600, the Museum can easily accommodate large galas, as well as intimate space appropriate for small events.
