The performance on December 1 is celebrated in partnership with Capital City Lights.
Celebrate the third annual Capital City Lights on December 1 at 4 PM in Downtown Jackson. Presented by Visit Jackson and Downtown Jackson Partners, this holiday event features family-friendly activities, shopping, and tours on Capitol Street. Multiple organizations and businesses contribute to the festivities, including the Mississippi Department of Archives and History’s Christmas by Candlelight Tour of downtown museums. Enjoy a holiday-themed marketplace with Magnolia Sunset Markets, the AIA Jackson Holiday Storefront Competition, “The Nutcracker” by Ballet Mississippi, and more throughout downtown Jackson that night. Join the City of Jackson’s annual tree lighting event at Jackson City Hall, starting with programming at 5 PM, featuring local youth groups, a tree lighting ceremony between 5:45–6 PM, and a festive march led by a JPS high school marching band to Capitol Street.
