The State Capital National Day of Prayer Event will be held Thursday, May 5, 2022, from 11am – 1pm, at the Mississippi Coliseum. All are welcome to this gathering of state government and community leaders to pray together as one body for our cities, state, and nation.
Created in 1952 by a joint resolution of the United States Congress, and signed into law by President Harry S. Truman, the National Day of Prayer is the annual observance held on the first Thursday in May, inviting people of all faiths to pray for our nation.
