Spring Break Art Camp

The Mississippi Museum of Art’s Spring Break Art Camp is for ages 6-8 and 9-11. Artist educators will guide campers through the creation of their own original artworks inspired by time spent in the museum’s galleries. Campers will engage in “close-looking” exercises (conversations facilitated by trained museum staff that guide and support viewers as they notice, analyze, share, and ultimately learn from artworks). Campers will use traditional and non-traditional materials and methods (from acrylic paints to constructing with cardboard) to develop creative thinking and self-expression. 

Campers will participate in activities, conversations, and play that build relationships and a collaborative, creative museum community!
