Other Information
This month the Mississippi Museum of Art’s Museum After Hours program, Joie de Vivre (Joy of Life), features Belle Époque, the beautiful period, a time of optimism, peace and prosperity in France after a time of war. The great Paris Exposition of 1878 brought great musicians from around the world to perform in Paris. Café-concerts and cabarets like Le Chat Noir and Moulin Rouge were introduced in the bohemian district of Montmartre. Experience the exhibit Van Gogh, Monet, Degas and their Times virtually and enjoy music, a signature cocktail demonstration and more from the comfort of your own home.
*This virtual program can be accessed by Zoom invitation or on MMA’s Facebook Live.
Museum After Hours is supported by Visit Jackson, MS and Downtown Jackson Partners. The monthly performances are generously sponsored by the Greater Jackson Arts Council through its Music First Program.
