Jesse Cotton Stone weaves together the stylistic threads of definitive regional traditions of Blues Music ranging from North Mississippi Hill Country Blues, Delta Blues, and Cotton Patch Soul Blues to the Urban Chicago Blues Roots of R&B, Soul, Funk, and Psychedelic Rock & Roll. After years of focusing primarily on blues and acid rock, Jesse began studying new styles of music and branching out beyond his roots. Along the way he has jammed with, learned from, and shared stages with the likes of Cedric Burnside, Tab Benoit, R.L. Boyce, Deak Harp, Mark “Mule Man” Massey, Watermelon Slim, Robert Kimbrough Sr., Lightning Malcolm, Cameron Kimbrough, David Kimbrough,Trenton Ayers, Bill “Howlin’ Madd” Perry, and Mickey Rogers.
Formed in Tennessee in 2005, Shake It Like A Caveman is no stranger to the highway. He’s a one-man-band dance party, thrusting somewhere between poolside film scores and early American work songs with sonic and visual dynamite that makes you move that thang. Shake It Like A Caveman simultaneously plays slide guitar, harmonica, kick drum, kick snare, hi hat, and vocals. This is dance party music with heavy influence drawn from Memphis, TN with the Mississippi hill country sound. The artist has released multiple independent recordings in the USA and has released two recordings in Europe on the French Rock n’ Roll Label-Beast Records. Shake It Like A Caveman currently performs worldwide at festivals and club dates, as well as on radio and TV.
