Businesses and individuals from the Jackson Metro area (Hinds, Madison, & Rankin counties) are welcome to drop off electronics and materials on Friday, October 28 from 8am – 2pm at the Mississippi Farmers Market for recycling.
Acceptable electronics: computers and laptops, computer components, printers, scanners, desktop copiers, fax machines, stereos and radios, televisions, cell phones, desk phones, VCR players, DVD players, electronic games, etc. Litium ion, lead acid, and ni-metal hybrid batteries are also accepted (no alkaline batteries please).
$2 fee for flat screen computer monitors (LCD/LED)
$5 fee for CRT computer monitors
$15 fee for all televisions
NO COST FOR ALL OTHER ITEMS. Fees cover cost of proper handling of hazardous materials contained in these devices like lead and mercury.
For the safety of both yourself and event staff, all event traffic in the drop-off area is one way. Please stay in your vehicle while relaying information and interacting with event staff, while event staff unloads items to be recycled from your vehicle.
