Businesses and individuals from the Jackson Metro-area, including Hinds, Madison & Rankin Counties, are welcome to drop off any electronic waste for recycle at the Mississippi Farmers Market in Downtown Jackson.
Electronics include computers, computer components, desktop copiers, fax machines, radios, televisions, cell phones, desk phones, VCR players, DVD players, electronic games, monitors, keyboards, printers, laptops, scanners, stereos, and more. Lithium ion, lead acid, and Ni-Metal Hydride batteries are also accepted (please no alkaline).
All items can be dropped off and recycled for free with the exception of flat-screened computer monitors ($2 fee), CRT computer monitors ($5 fee), and televisions ($15 fee). Fees cover the cost of proper handling of hazardous materials, such as lead and mercury, contained in these devices.
When dropping off items for recycle, please remain in your vehicle while staff unloads materials. All event traffic in the drop-off area is one-way only. For more information, click the website link above.
