Join the Mississippi Dept of Archives & History for an evening of Prohibition-era cocktail tasting at the Two Mississippi Museums on Friday, June 4th, 6–7:30 p.m. Guests will learn the histories of cocktails featured in the Mississippi Distilled: Prohibition, Piety, and Politics special exhibit and view cocktail demonstrations presented by certified Jackson bartender Jimmy Quinn. Refreshments will be provided. Tickets are $15 per person and space is limited to 40 registrants. Face masks and social distancing guidelines are required.
Jimmy Quinn is a certified specialist of spirits with several years of experience in the rigorous study of wine and spirits production, history, and presentation. He has served as a bartender in several popular venues in Jackson such as Fenian’s Pub, Hal & Mal’s, The Auditorium, and La’Finestra. Quinn currently manages his own consultation and catering company called Simply Tended and serves as the store manager of Briarwood Wine and Spirits.
