Artist Ming Ying Hong, Mississippi State University professor and South Arts Mississippi State Fellow, shares her creative spaces – physical, mental, social, or otherwise – through this Mississippi Museum of Art installment of AT&T presents Makers in Their Spaces.

About Hong
Ming Ying Hong is an interdisciplinary artist based in Starkville, Mississippi. She has exhibited throughout the United States in spaces such as the Contemporary Art Museum in St. Louis, Missouri; Mildred Lane Kemper Museum in St. Louis, Missouri; and CICA Museum in South Korea. She was recently awarded a Robert M. Hearin Entrepreneur Fellowship and was named the South Arts Mississippi State Fellow.

Ming received her BFA from the University of Kentucky and was a Danforth Scholar at Washington University in St. Louis, where she received her MFA in visual art. Currently, she teaches at Mississippi State University. She is represented by B. Deemer Gallery-Wheelhouse Art in Louisville, Kentucky.
