Join MDAH for a screening of An Ordinary Hero: The True Story of Joan Trumpauer Mulholland at 2 p.m. on Sunday, August 11, in the Craig H. Neilsen Auditorium of the Two Mississippi Museums. This film explores the life of Joan Trumpauer Mulholland, who witnessed the realities of segregation and racism firsthand and participated in the Civil Rights Movement. At just 19 years old, Mulholland had participated in more than three dozen protests and was put on death row after joining the Freedom Rides.
