The National African American Male Wellness Walk Initiative has expanded to Jackson, Mississippi to raise awareness for preventable health diseases. The local organizing committee, compiled of community leaders, will host the first annual walk in Downtown Jackson, Mississippi on Saturday, April 9, 2022.
This family-friendly event is free and open to the public. While the initiative highlights male wellness, the entire community is welcomed to participate. Participants are encouraged to wear GREEN to raise awareness of the wellness initiative. Health screenings are FREE for ALL participants.
The 5k will start and finish in front of the Russell C Davis Planetarium at 201 E Pascagoula St, Jackson, MS 39201. Parking is available in the lots across Pascagoula St. in front of the Convention Center.
