The Mississippi Arts Commission is thrilled to announce the 2023 State Arts Conference, hosted by The Westin Jackson, taking place in Jackson, Mississippi, Wednesday, October 11 – Thursday, October 12, 2023. This two-day conference event is full of rich, must-see content paired with carefully curated opportunities of connections, collaboration, and networking. With a remarkable variety of sessions, the aim is to equip our artists and arts professionals with the tools they need to continue the growth of the arts community of Mississippi most effectively. Whether you are an artist, an arts professional, a board member, a teacher, or a lover of the arts, the State Arts Conference is the place to be.
The ArtTalk and dinner will take place Wednesday, October 11, at 6 p.m. in the Art Garden at the Mississippi Museum of Art. R.L. Boyce, Hill Country Blues Musician and the 2023 National Endowment of the Arts (NEA) Heritage Fellow from Mississippi, will perform! Former Congressman Gregg Harper and General Nolen Bivens, President and CEO of Americans for the Arts (AFTA), will host a conversation about the arts locally and nationally. A cash bar will be available. A special thank you to the Mississippi Museum of Art for hosting t at their facility.
Registration Fee:
• $45 per person for the two-day conference (meals not included) Deadline to Register at this price is October 1. Registration after October 1 will increase to $60!

• $75 per person registration fee for the two-day conference + Dinner on Wednesday, October 11, at the ArtTalk dinner at the Mississippi Museum of Art
• $30 per person only includes dinner at the ArtTalk dinner at the Mississippi Museum of Art event on Wednesday, October 11, and does not include the registration fee for the conference. (For the general public and presenters only).
