This 11-day extravaganza is filled with family-friendly entertainment, livestock exhibitions, thrill rides, unique foods, and fun games for all ages. Throughout the 2023 Mississippi State Fair, both attendees and participants can enjoy a variety of attractions, including diverse livestock showcaes, captivating musical performances in the Coliseum, the all-new Taste of Dixie National Rodeo, the Mississippi State Fair Idol Contest, the Zerbini Family Circus, the Tri-State Rodeo, and countless other exciting offerings!
The best of the North American Midway Entertainment’s carnival rides, games and food will be along the Midway. Stop in the Trade Mart to explore and purchase unique products grown, raised, crafted, and made by Mississippi producers. While in the Trade Mart, check out The Ag Expo featuring FARMtastic Exhibit for Children, the Shops of the State Fair, and the beloved Antique Car Show. Grab a free, fresh-out-of-the-oven biscuit every eventing on the Midway! Stroll through the livestock barns for daily livestock exhibitions and 4-H and FFA student livestock shows. Visit the Frontier Village for pig races, petting zoo, pony rides, mule pens, the Train Depot, the Belmont Magic Show, the all-new Taste of Dixie National and more!
The Mississippi Coliseum will feature musical headliners featuring Josh Turner, EARNEST, The Commodores, and Jeremy Camp. You can also attend Cupid’s Line Dance Xperience or Funny Friday at the Fair for a night of comedy and fun. New to the Fair this year is the Mississippi State Fair Idol Competition, where five talented winners will receive an executive audition with American Idol producers. The Mississippi State Fair Talent Show and the Miss Mississippi State Fair Beauty Pageant will also be returning to the Coliseum this year.

October 5, 2023: Mississippi Heroes Day – as a thank you to all police officers, first responders, firefighters, healthcare workers, medical professionals, and active military, admission to the Fair will be free!
October 6, 2023: Kids Day – ride specials and more
October 11, 2023: Senior American Day – live entertainment, door prizes, health fair, vendors, muffins, coffee, etc.
October 12, 2023: College Night – free admission 5-7pm with College ID
SECURITY POLICY updates include:
Beginning at 9pm, any guest under the age of 18 seeking admission to the fairgrounds must be accompanied by an adult (21+). Any guest may be asked to show official proof of age to be admitted after these times.
When entering the Midway, all guests will proceed through one of several security check points utilizing a metal detector, and/or be subject to magnetic wanding.
All bags are subject to search. The maximum bag size that will be accepted into the Fair is 12″x12″x6″.
No outside food or beverage.
No animals (other than service animals), banners, fireworks/explosives, or laser pointers allowed.
