Wesley Walker Walker performing August 13th at Martin’s Downtown | Doors 9pm!
Most artist biographies typically have a perfectly detailed story revealing the long history of how that artist began in song writing or performing. But with Wesley Walker, his story and biography is anything but typical, which foreshadows his voice. The Mississippi delta native not only has a blend of diverse musical influences, but also has a roller coaster ride of a musical career, starting out during the coronavirus pandemic, especially with being so young and new to the music scene. While playing baseball all the way to the college level, his last season was cut short at Northwest Community College when Covid-19 shut the world down. Wesley Walker’s debut single “Small Things”, originally performed under the band The Sips’, was the first song Wesley ever wrote and recorded alongside guitarist Cole Ketchum and was released in 2019 after placing 3rd in a songwriting contest held at Blue Sky Studios in Jackson, Mississippi. This marked the beginning of the Wesley Walker journey. Wesley Walker’s vocals are joined by guitarist Cole Ketchum, guitarist Josh Coulter, drummer Blake Carroll, bassist Logan Hogue, and Thomas Eastland on pedal steel.
